Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for Our Time I attended a free showing today & reignited an interest. Very inspirational life! Favorite ideas from the film: We need to think of ourselves as part of a larger community. A steward of the land first understands the history of his own ecosystem. Second, understands how his ecosystem works. Third, shares his knowledge of the ecosystem. Conservation begins with your own property or land. We abuse the land because we view it as a commodity but we should be viewing it as a living community. In order to build understanding between people, the land & nature we must first develop relationships and understanding between people. (that by the way was the favorite idea I took away from the film)
